The ongoing impact to the CrowdStrike outage continues to unfold. The current update is that on the 19/7 CrowdStrike released an update to their platform agents which resulted in corrupting windows installations due to an invalid .sys file. Most devices can be resolved by safe/recovery booting windows and removing the file in particular (C-00000291*.sys), however noted that Microsoft Bitlocker requirements will be enforced if it is turned on and the recovery key will be required; otherwise the only other option is reset/reload windows.
